Development of a Method for Improving the Energy Efficiency of Oil Production with an Electrical Submersible Pump

Most of the operating oil fields are in late stages development, which special attention is paid to production energy efficiency. In accordance with trend toward digitalization technical processes, intelligent control stations for wells currently being developed, one main tasks maintain equipment operation an optimal mode. This work aims develop a methodology selecting energy-efficient well mode by choosing methods controlling electrical submersible pump. To solve this problem, mathematical apparatus calculating power consumption presented, considers pressure curve, while taking into account its degradation when pumping reservoir fluids, fluids’ properties, supply demulsifier, and equipment’s parameters. Based on simulation results, it revealed that method pump installations combination frequency choke control. The reduction specific combined relative use separate types up 7.30%, case additional 12.01%. developed algorithms can be implemented based programmable logic controllers stations.
